This is an introductory course to the Spanish language and culture that last 18 weeks. Students will use basic language to interact with their peers about familiar topics.

- Spanish speaking Countries

- Classroom objects
Required Material: (for Spanish Class only)
- Notebook (Spiral type)
- A plastic folder with 3 prongs (to keep all the copies provided in class)
- Pencils
- Headphones
Class Rules
- Show respect for your teacher, your peers and yourself (Respetar)
- Raise your hand before you speak (Levantar la mano)
- Be responsible for your actions and your own learning (Ser responsable)
- Follow up directions when given (Seguir instrucciones)
- Work hard to learn Spanish (Trabajar duro)
Homework
Homework will not be assigned for this class. Instead of homework students are required to study at least 10 minutes every day. Parents, please ask your child what words they learn during the Spanish class that day and the meaning of the words.

Warm-ups, homework and class participation

Quizzes, mini-projects, classwork
50% Perform
Tests, presentations, projects
Work is due by the next class
Tutoring Hours:
Tuesday and Thursdays after school: 2:15 to 2:45 pm or by appointment (before school, during lunch, other days)
